James Chaplin

James joined our Commercial Property team in February 2024 from a City law firm. He qualified as a solicitor in 2016 after working as a Paralegal for several years after completing the Law Conversion course and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford.

James has gained extensive experience in commercial property law, becoming a specialist in various matters such as landlord and tenant, property investment, disposals and acquisitions, security charging, and development.

Over the years, James has assisted and helped a diverse range of clients with their commercial property needs, including high street retailers, investment landlords, landowners, social housing providers, and charities.

James thrives on collaborating with clients, offering tailored support and strategic advice to empower them in achieving their objectives, seizing opportunities, and navigating risks effectively.

Outside the office, James immerses himself in literature, Italian and Greek culture, and embraces an active lifestyle through running, swimming, and cycling. As a coach for an under-7's rugby team, he channels his passion for sports into mentoring young athletes. James cherishes quality time with his young family, sharing his love for literature, culture, and sports with them.
