Celebrations are underway in the Warner Goodman Litigation and Dispute Resolution team as Daniel Coleman qualifies as a Solicitor into the team.
Daniel joined the firm in June 2015 working as a Paralegal in the Southampton based Residential Conveyancing team. Prior to this, he studied law at the University of Surrey and graduated in 2015. He then completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford in 2016; graduating with distinction.
During his time working as a Paralegal, Daniel gained experience in a number of departments including Family, Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property. In September 2016, he commenced his Period of Recognised Training, completing seats in Employment, Commercial Litigation, and Commercial Property. For his final seat he returned to the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, specialising in residential property disputes, where he has now taken a permanent position.
Speaking on his time as a Trainee and his qualification, Daniel commented, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Trainee Solicitor, particularly experiencing so many departments across the firm as well as spending time in two of the firm’s four offices. Since my initial seat with the Litigation team I was keen to qualify into the department due to the variety of work and the satisfaction of resolving disputes for our clients successfully. I am delighted I have been able to remain at Warner Goodman and feel supported not only in this next step of my journey, but also in my aspirations for the future.”
In Daniel’s role, he will continue to focus on residential property disputes, working closely with Helen Porter, Partner and Head of the team, on matters such as landlord and tenant disputes, land and building disputes, and disputes with neighbours.
Dan Thompson, Trainee Partner, explains, “This is always an exciting time of year for us as we welcome new Trainee Solicitors and celebrate those who are qualifying. Daniel has been an important part of the firm for the last three years, and knows us and our clients well. I am delighted we have been able to offer him a permanent position in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team; a position I know he will enjoy and excel at and I look forward to his continued success in the role and as part of the team.”
