Warner Goodman LLP are pleased to announce they have become corporate donors of road safety charity, Brake.
“Last year we supported Brake by sponsoring a banner during Road Safety Week in November, which was displayed outside a local school,” explains Dan Thompson, Personal Injury Partner. “This year we wanted to do more, and being corporate donors allows us to work even closer with Brake on their awareness campaigns, as well as helping them promote the fabulous work they do through more channels than before.”
Five people die on roads and about 60 more are seriously injured every day in the UK. “Unfortunately through our line of work, we see the devastating impact that road traffic collisions have,” continues Dan. “We’re determined to work with Brake to promote road safety awareness to reduce the number of collisions on the road, whether that involves motorists, cyclists or pedestrians. We want to see a decline in the number of lives that are torn apart by carelessness on our roads.”
Since 1995, Brake has been working with communities and organisations across the UK to bring an end to road deaths and injuries. They also strive to make streets and communities safer for everyone, and support people bereaved and seriously injured on roads. Their vision is a world that has zero road deaths and injuries, and people can travel in ways that are safe, sustainable, healthy and enjoyable. Their flagship event is Road Safety Week in November, but they also run other campaigns such as “GO 20” which is campaigning for more 20mph speed limits and “too young to die”, which is aimed at improving the testing standards for young drivers.
Mike Bristow, Brake Spokesperson commented on the sponsorship, “It’s fantastic to have Warner Goodman on board as corporate donors. Their continued support for Brake means that we can continue to campaign and provide support for bereaved families and victims of road crashes. We look forward to working with Warner Goodman in the future.”
“We’re delighted to have been given this opportunity by Brake to be corporate donors,” concludes Dan. “We’re looking forward to a future of promoting road safety awareness with them, and hopefully reducing the number of people coming to us looking for compensation to help them rebuild their lives with financial support and rehabilitation.”
If you’ve been involved in an incident on the roads and you’re thinking of claiming for compensation you can contact Dan or a member of the Personal Injury team on 0800 91 92 30 or visit their section of the website here.
