On 15th September, a team of solicitors from Hampshire based law firm Warner Goodman LLP will take part in the Rose Road Triathlon, an event raising money for local charity The Rose Road Association. Here Jane Cox, Private Client Partner, explains why the team have chosen this event in particular to support.
“We’ve taken part in many sporting and charitable activities over the years, most recently the Three Peaks Challenge in July, a member of our Conveyancing Team did her first skydive in May, and a team competed in the Great South Run last October,” begins Jane. “The Rose Road Triathlon really appealed to us as it will be the first triathlon that the firm has entered, and also the charity itself achieves fantastic work for the local community and we’re incredibly proud to support them.”
The Rose Road Association has for over 60 years been providing valuable services and activities to disabled children and young people to improve their quality of life. Activities include swimming, music, cookery, arts and crafts, and day trips to local attractions, and there is also support for the families and carers through services such as Parent Voice, where family members can share their experiences and offer advice to those in the same position.
Jane concludes, “Our target is to raise over £400 for the Rose Road Association. Not only will the triathlon be a great new challenge for the Warner Goodman LLP Team, but it’s also so rewarding to know that this money we raise will be going to a great local cause who help children and families face their own challenges every day.”
Joining Jane in the triathlon will be Employment Partner Howard Robson, Personal Injury Partner Andy Munden and Commercial Property solicitor Naomi Hazlewood.
