Hampshire based law firm Warner Goodman LLP are proud to announce they are sponsors of Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association’s Down Syndrome Awareness Week, to be held from 17th – 23rd March 2014.  Claire Battye, Commercial Property Partner, explains how you can help raise awareness of this important charity.

“As part of Down Syndrome Awareness Week we have committed to not only raise awareness of the fabulous work that Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association do for the local community and the families affected by Down Syndrome, but also to donate £1 for every new ‘like’ their Facebook page receives*.  This is a charity that is very close to ours and our clients’ hearts, and we’re thrilled that we can offer our support to them, and hope that this will help the charity continue their work for many years to come.”

Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association (Footprints) is a self-funding charity providing invaluable support, advice, friendship and a wide range of educational services for children with Down syndrome and their families in Portsmouth and South Hampshire.  During Down Syndrome Awareness Week families and schools will be involved in many fundraising activities across the area, which will be featured on the Facebook page and website throughout the week.  You can support the charity by attending the Pampered Chef Fundraising Evening on Friday 21st March, or by taking up a free charity place in the Great South Run later this year to raise funds on behalf of Portsmouth DSA.

You can find the Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association Facebook page by clicking here, or you can visit their website here https://portsmouthdsa.org/.  To discuss how you can be involved, contact Rachael Ross at rachaelross@footprintsds.org.
