Much of the attraction of Warner Goodman is the continuity of staff, speaking to a real person, and mostly to someone who recognises our name, this applies to the admin staff as well as the advisor, and being made aware of changes when necessary – not left to find out by chance. Both sets of our parents were clients of Goodman’s from at least 1930’s, probably 1920’s so that when we were married it seemed obvious to continue with the same firm. We had no knowledge of other services, but came to WG (& Streat then) Financial Services through Peter Goodman personally. I had been researching Financial Services and had been thoroughly dissatisfied, when I met Peter in West Street and told him. He suggested I use WG and talk to Martin Giles initially. We’ve been happy to stay there. I get the impression that many people are reluctant to seek advice about financial matters, thinking it is only necessary when huge sums are involved, do not keep weekly accounts, and are misled by press ‘do it yourself’.
